Office Remodeling

Stratford, CT

Commercial

Office remodeling – a new modern and sleek monumental stair. The new grand stair connects the existing 2nd and 3rd floor interior office spaces at the Hubbell Electric Heater Company in Stratford, Connecticut. The owner and architect’s vision was for the stair to have the appearance of “floating”, with no exposed posts supporting the intermediate landing, as well as no exposed connection material. The stair is constructed from bent tubular steel and bent steel plate with a continuous glass guardrail and wood treads that give the stair a modern look while still blending in with the appearance of the existing building. In addition to traditional analysis procedures, a vibrational analysis was performed on the stair to ensure comfortable passage for all users.
